  25.             Franklin, the online catalog of the University  of  Pennsyl-
  26.             vania Library, is a NOTIS-based system.  It can  be searched
  27.             by author, title, keyword, subject and call number.
  28.  
  29.             The catalog includes over 1.7 million citations for items in
  30.             the  University  Libraries.   In general, material cataloged
  31.             since 1968 is included in Franklin.  In addition, major seg-
  32.             ments  of  the older collections are added to Franklin on an
  33.             ongoing basis.  For  information  on  material  included  in
  34.             Franklin, check the introductory screens.

  38.             Telnet to pennlib.upenn.edu.  The connection is via  reverse
  39.             terminal  server  to an IBM 7171.  It assumes VT100 compati-
  40.             bility.
